Is Our Solar System an Atom in a Giant Brain?
In theory, that could be just right

Since I have learned some of the basic notions in school physics, I have noticed some similarities between our solar system and the particles that compose an atom. I am referring to the tiny “solar system” that can be seen in an atom, as the electrons are orbiting around the nucleus just as planets orbit the Sun.
What if we are just one of the peels of a huge metaphorical onion, and what if our solar system is just one tiny atom in a much larger universe than our own or even consciousness? This theory is not very new, and it is often circulated on social media.
There are many clues to this theory, as you will see below.
Cosmic Shapes Resemble Human Shapes
Some patterns exist that you simply cannot ignore when it comes to the structure and the behavior of subatomic particles, cells and tissues structure, and the celestial bodies of the planets in our solar system.
Galaxy clusters and neuronal connections
When you see an image of the known universe and you compare it with a photo of neurons in the human brain, they resemble a lot. The largest known structures in the universe are big galaxy clusters, that form connections and there are empty spaces between them in a way that makes them resemble the structure of neurons and their pathways within the human brain.
Human eyeballs and cosmic nebulas
Images caught using a telescope of some nebulas, such as the Helix nebula resemble a lot of the human eyeballs, with details such as the iris.
The spiral pattern of galaxies
Many galaxies have a spiral form because the stars are circling galactic centers. Snail shells and some seashells have a spiral form. Is this a coincidence? Probably not. They may be following the same pattern as galaxies.
“As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul…”

The Scale of the Microcosmos and Macrocosmos
Atoms are in huge numbers in every part of the known matter. Stars with planets orbiting around them are also found in huge numbers within galaxies. Not only that the same structures can be found in the atom world compared to the galactic world, but the same laws of physics work in the microcosmos as in the macrocosmos. It’s just that the scale is not the same.
Different dimensions?
I wondered if this is what spiritualists call dimensions, because dimensions seem to coexist in the same place, but are parallel. This could also apply to the possibility of parallel universes. Maybe there are universes within universes, just at a different scale.
The structure is similar in great detail
There are similarities in the way the brain is structured compared to the way the observable universe is structured. These similarities can be seen even in the deeper details of the structure, such as the proportions of the distance between neurons versus the distance between galaxy clusters.
Everything is in large numbers
There are huge numbers of electrons, atoms, human cells, humans on Earth, stars in the galaxy, galaxies in a start cluster…I wonder where this ends on a larger scale…Could there be a large number of universes? I bet there could be!
In conclusion, is our solar system just an atom in a giant brain? In theory, it could be true. In practice, humanity may only find out the truth in the future. The only truth we know right now is that there are many similarities between the way a human brain is structured and the way the observable universe is structure.
If it would be true and the universe is a giant brain, it would mean that the universe is just a part of an intelligent being. We cannot know this yet and we just hope that in the future we will find out.
